These are the questions HVAC owners raise most often before working with us. If yours isn't here, call, text or email; we'd rather answer it directly than guess.
Frequently asked questions
What does HeatPump.Agency cost?
Monthly plans start at $2,998 and websites at $3,500, in Canadian dollars. Your province sets the tax we add: GST/HST, or GST and QST in Quebec. Ad spend is a separate budget paid to the ad platforms.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No lock-in. We would rather keep clients because the numbers work. You can start with the 7-day free trial, which needs no credit card.
How long before we see more heat-pump installs?
Conversion and campaign changes can show in the first one to two months. Search and positioning work typically needs three to six months to show fully. We'll tell you which to expect for your situation.
We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?
We can't know what happened before, but common causes are generic campaigns, no call tracking and no follow-up on quotes. We start with your job values and close rate, focus on heat pumps specifically, and report enquiries and installs, not just clicks.
Who owns the website and ad accounts?
You do. Your website, domain, Google Business Profile, ad accounts and data stay in your company's name. If we part ways, they stay with you.
Can you promise a set number of leads or rankings?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. We show you the method, the published results from our HVAC work, and how progress will be measured.
Are you a heat-pump contractor?
No. HeatPump.Agency is a marketing and business consulting service for HVAC companies. We don't install, service or repair any equipment.
Can you get our customers approved for rebates?
No. Only the program administrator approves applications. We help you explain programs accurately, with dates and links to the official source, and route enquiries to your team.
How do you keep rebate information accurate?
We check the administrator's official page before publishing, date every claim, and review active program pages at least monthly, or sooner when an official change is announced.
What reporting will we get?
A monthly report on enquiries by source and program, quotes and installs, cost per enquiry, rankings for heat-pump terms and what we changed. Growth and Elite plans add more frequent reporting.
Do you work outside British Columbia?
Yes. We are based in Vancouver but work with contractors in every province and territory, and our area pages cover each one.
Can you market our dual-fuel and furnace work too?
Yes. Many heat-pump specialists also install gas furnaces as backup in dual-fuel systems. We position the heat-pump expertise first and present the rest as part of a complete answer.
Do you write French content for Quebec?
Quebec customers need French-language web content under the Charter of the French Language. We plan for it; tell us at the start so French pages are built in, not added later.
About price and commitment
Answer first: plans start at $2,998 a month, there's no lock-in, and you can test the fit with a 7-day free trial.
Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Canadian clients add GST/HST for their province. The pricing page shows every plan and website package, with a worked example of how many extra installs a plan needs to pay for itself. Ad spend is always a separate budget, agreed in writing.
The free trial covers a digital marketing audit, a website performance check, an SEO analysis and competitor benchmarking. Even if you never hire us, you'll leave with a clear picture of how your heat-pump marketing compares with your local competitors.
About what we do and don't do
Answer first: we market and advise; we don't install, and we don't approve rebates.
HeatPump.Agency is a digital marketing and business consulting service. We position your company as a heat-pump specialist, plan campaigns around programs, build search visibility and tighten your quote process. Your licensed team does the technical work, and program administrators handle approvals.
We won't promise leads or rankings. We will show you the numbers, including when something isn't working. The four services are explained on the services overview.
About rebates and programs
Answer first: we treat every rebate claim as something that can expire, and we write it that way.
Programs change often. As of October 2026, for example, the federal Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program has closed to new applicants in several provinces, while a new federal heat pump rebate has been announced for 2027 without a published administrator or start date. Our guide to advertising rebates accurately explains how to write about programs in a way that stays honest when they change, and each province page lists current programs with official links.
About ownership and switching agencies
Answer first: everything we build for you is yours.
Your website, your domain, your Google Business Profile, your ad accounts and your data stay in your company's name. If you've worked with an agency that held your accounts, we'll help you recover access as far as the platforms allow. If we part ways, you keep everything.
About timelines
Answer first: conversion fixes move first, campaigns next, and search last, but search lasts longest.
A rough sequence for a typical heat-pump contractor:
| Work | When it usually shows |
|---|---|
| Intake script and quote follow-up | First one to two months, on enquiries you already get |
| Rebate landing pages and ads, when a program is open | Within weeks of going live |
| Specialist proof pages | Conversion improves within one to two months; search effect comes later |
| Heat-pump content library and local SEO | Three to six months in most markets, longer in crowded cities |
Seasonality adds a twist. Heat-pump demand often peaks around program announcements and again before cooling season, while furnace demand peaks with the first cold snap. Starting in late summer gives search work time to mature before the heating season; starting just after an announcement means campaigns come first.
About "we tried an agency before"
Answer first: ask any agency, including us, how they will measure installs rather than clicks.
Contractors who've been burned usually describe the same pattern: a monthly report full of impressions and clicks, no link to calls, and nobody asking what happened to the quotes. Before you hire anyone again, ask three questions: how will calls be tracked, who checks that rebate details are current, and what happens to an enquiry after it arrives? Our answers are on the services overview and in every monthly report.
